Intro
Cookies are small text strings that websites send to the user’s device (usually to the browser being used), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the user’s next visit.
Users visiting the site will have small amounts of information stored on their devices (whether computers or mobile devices) in small text files called “cookies,” saved in the directories used by the User’s web browser. The retention period varies depending on the purpose, generally ranging from a few hours to several years, with the exception of profiling cookies, which have a maximum duration of 365 calendar days.
This document is an integral part of the “Privacy Policy” and is issued in compliance with the Provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority of May 8, 2014, published in the Official Gazette no. 126 on June 3, 2014, implementing Directive 2002/58/EC.
The choice to organize the informational documents in this way stems from the desire to ensure greater clarity for the user regarding the meaning, use, and deactivation of cookies.
Through cookies, it is possible to semi-permanently store information about the user’s preferences and other technical data that allow for smoother navigation and greater ease of use and efficiency of the site itself. For example, cookies can be used to determine whether a connection has already been made between the visitor’s computer and the visited site in order to highlight new content or retain “login” information.
It should be noted that the user can express their preferences regarding the use of cookies on this site (see the detailed list in the section below “Types of Cookies”) also through the browser settings by following the provided instructions. The user can also enable “private browsing,” which allows them to browse the internet without saving any information about the sites visited, pages viewed, any passwords entered, or other data that could identify them.
THIRD PARTIES
User data is also collected through tools and services provided by third parties and stored by them.
For more information, please refer to the cookies policies of these third parties, as further detailed in the remainder of this document.
Given the objective complexity related to the identification of cookie-based technologies and their very close integration with the functioning of applications and the web, users are invited to contact the Data Controller should they wish to receive any further information regarding the use of cookies themselves and any use of them – for example by third parties – carried out through this site.
HOW TO CONTROL AND POSSIBLY DISABLE COOKIES
To update or revoke consent to the use of cookies on this site, click on Manage cookies
In the event that users have doubts or concerns regarding the use of cookies, it is always possible to intervene to prevent their setting and reading, for example by modifying the privacy settings within the browser used on their device, in order to block certain types.
Since browsers – and often different versions of the same browser – differ, even significantly, from one another, should users prefer to act independently through the preferences of the one in use, detailed information on the necessary procedure can be found in the guide for each of these tools. For an initial overview of the methods of action for the most common browsers, users can visit www.cookiepedia.co.uk.
Users can therefore manage their preferences relating to cookies directly within their browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through browser preferences, it is also possible to delete cookies installed in the past, including the cookie in which consent to the installation of cookies by this site may have been saved. It is important to note that by disabling all cookies, the functioning of this site could be compromised.

COOKIES USED BY THIS SITE
The site uses various types of cookies, some to make the use of the site more effective, others to enable certain functionalities.
To allow the use of this site and the provision of services associated with it, use is made of:
- persistent cookies (i.e. cookies that remain in memory until they are manually deleted by the user or for which long-term scheduled removal is provided);
- session cookies, which are not stored persistently on the visitor's computer and disappear when the browser is closed.
It should also be noted that first-party cookies are those generated and used by this site, while third-party cookies are generated, also on this site, by third-party entities.
While specifying that the disabling of some cookies could limit the ability to use the site and prevent users from fully benefiting from the functionalities and services present, we remind users that the previous paragraph indicates the methods for best managing or disabling cookies.
On this site, cookies of different types are operational – with specific functions – which may belong to one or more of the following categories described below.
TECHNICAL COOKIES
In general, technical cookies are those that allow the storage of previous actions or the saving of the user's session or that perform other activities strictly necessary for the operation of a site.
Some of these cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and allow users to navigate it, view its content, and take advantage of its features.
The site makes use of technical cookies that are necessary and essential for its operation and to improve the user's browsing experience.
The use of such cookies does not require the release of consent by the data subject.
FUNCTIONAL COOKIES
"Functional" cookies (comparable to technical cookies from the perspective of the Italian Data Protection Authority's Provision of May 8, 2014, published in the Official Gazette no. 126 on June 3, 2014, implementing Directive 2002/58/EC) allow the site to remember user choices (for example, the username) to provide a more personalized and optimized browsing experience.
Functional cookies are not essential to the functioning of the site, but they improve the quality and browsing experience; if these cookies are not accepted, the performance and functionality of the site may not be optimal and access to its content may be limited.
A particular type of technical cookie is the cookie for storing consent; this cookie keeps track of the consent given by the user to the use of cookies on this site, so as not to re-present, during subsequent visits, the brief information on cookies and the request to provide consent.
ANALYTICAL AND PERFORMACE COOKIES
These are cookies used to collect and analyze information that helps to understand how users interact with the site, providing for example:
- statistical information on access and visits to the website relating to the last page visited;
- the number of sections and pages visited and the number of visitors;
- statistical information relating to the time spent on the site by the average user;
This information could be associated with user details such as IP address, domain, or browser; however, when analyzed solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on site usage, the cookies that collect them can be comparable to technical cookies.
Through the use of the Google Analytics panel, it is possible for us to understand whether visits were made by new or returning visitors by checking the browsing mode of the pages (entry links, exit links, movements between pages, dwell times, geographical origin, etc.).
AGGREGATED STATISTICAL COOKIES
Where services that are not completely anonymized are present, users will find them listed among third-party cookies for which consent can be denied, to guarantee their privacy.
Such cookies, which are non-profiling, are exempt from the need to collect the data subject's consent.
The site uses Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google Inc., which uses cookies to collect and analyze, in aggregate form, information relating to user navigation. The information generated by the cookie about the user's use of the site (including IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google's servers. Neither the site nor Google associates the user's IP address with other data in their possession to directly identify them. The site uses Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google Inc., which uses cookies to collect and analyze, in aggregate form, information relating to user navigation. The information generated by the cookie about the user's use of the site (including IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google's servers. The use of such cookies is not necessary, but allows the Data Controller to improve its content and services based on the indications obtained from the analysis of statistics.
To release this type of cookies, user consent is not necessary, but it is sufficient to release complete information associated with a simplified version released through an information banner.
PROFILING COOKIES
The site does not in any way use so-called "profiling" cookies (aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during browsing on the internet) or so-called "third-party" cookies (aimed at receiving on one's device, during browsing on a site, cookies sent from sites or web servers other than that site).
THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
These cookies are sent from third-party domains and partner sites that offer their functionalities among the site's pages.
If users have an account or use the services of such entities on other websites, they may be able to know that the user has visited the site.
Users must also take into consideration that such external entities, over which the Data Controller cannot exercise any control, could intercept some of their personal data during browsing even outside the site, thanks to the information stored in cookies to which consent for use has been given.
The Data Controller cannot therefore provide guarantees regarding the use that third-party controllers make of the information collected.
The use of data collected by these external operators through cookies is subject to their respective privacy policies. For detailed information in this regard, it is recommended to consult the privacy policies of the services indicated as third-party cookies.
COOKIES THAT PROVIDE INTERACTIVE MAPS
These cookies allow the inclusion of customizable interactive maps within the site. This site uses Google Maps to provide detailed information on the location of its headquarters.
SOCIAL BUTTON PLUGINS AND WIDGETS
On the site there are particular "buttons" (called "social buttons/widgets") that display the icons of social networks or other services (for example, Facebook). These buttons allow users who are browsing the site to interact with a "click" directly with the social networks depicted there. In this case, the social network acquires data relating to the user's visit, while the Data Controller will not share any browsing information or user data acquired through its site with the social networks accessible through the social buttons/widgets.
"Sharing" cookies (or social network cookies) are necessary to allow users to interact with sites through their social account and are used, for example, to express appreciation and share it with related social contacts.
The most common use is for sharing content on social networks. The presence of plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by "third parties" is governed by their respective privacy policies, to which reference should be made.
If a social network user visits the Data Controller's web pages while logged into their account, such information could be associated with the account. Even when using the plugin functions (for example, by clicking the "Like" button), the information will be associated with the account.
This type of cookie is not essential to the functioning of the site.
